Photography has been my hobby for a long time, and I never miss a good opportunity for fun photo shoots, so I've been taking my camera to the trials with me. Of course, I can't take pictures of myself running with Philip, but I thought I'd share some shots of other dogs running the courses.

These are great. I am having a hard time getting some good picutres of Bailey. I try to get them whenever my hubby runs with her. I usually delete all the ones he takes of me...He doesn't get the point that I don't necessarily want to have a picture of me running :-)
ReplyDeleteWhat kind of a camera are you using? something special? the hubby and I decided that we were getting a new fancy camera this Xmas..I want to take nice pictures of agility trials to come hopefully in 2011..
Thanks! Hehe, I know what you mean about pictures of yourself, I don't particularly enjoy my crazy face either, but hey - you can crop the pictures ;) Once you start going to trials, there is usually a professional photographer out there, so you can always get awesome shots for a bit of cash that way.
ReplyDeleteI use a Canon Rebel XTi and I love it, but if you are gonna go the DSLR route, it's more about the lenses you get rather than the camera. All of these were shot with my telephoto lens, which is great for dog shots in general. It's a Canon 70-300mm lens, and it has image stabilizer built in, which really helps at full zoom. Honestly, I keep this lens on my camera 90% of the time. It was expensive to get, more than the camera body itself, but is totally worth it. So save money for a good lens, you can always upgrade the camera body later and still have an awesome lens :)
Thanks...I will look into all this to help make the decision which camera/lens to get :-)
